Back from Cambodia!!
And that is not really a good thing... =X
No, I wasn't on outer space from 10 march to 14 march, and I wasn't at school either. I was busy taking flight to Cambodia! =D
I am wondering if I should blog about all the things we did at Cambodia for the past few days...
Um..

10 MARCH 2010 - From about 5.00am:
Elfin, Shun Hong and me was at Changi Airport Terminal 2, thanks to Elfin's father for driving us there! It was raining as if it meant 'good luck'. Anyway, I was like, 'OMG, it's Changi Airport! Is it in outer space??'. Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad. We took a short walk before the coach came and we had to gather.
We did the usual check-in of luggauge, although I never did these things before. Shun Hong and I went to Macdonalds to have a short breakfast before leaving. Took a group picture (and I was very ugly there) before we went into the departure thing. Board the plane after a while (and yes, I was damn excited) and we took off! This is the first time I 'fly', and it felt like a roller-coaster going up when taking off! =D
10 MARCH 2010 - Afternoon:
Unpack all our stuffs in the hotel before leaving for lunch and go for the museum. Did I mention that my roommate was Manfred? So it's kinda interesting! Went to the Genocide museum (or S21, jail, I dunno larh) and sort of learn about the Cambodia history. And I thought the Japanese Occupation was bad. We then went to the Killing Field, where people are sent from the S21 jail to that place. Lots of people were killed there, and there were lots and lots of skulls!
10 MARCH 2010 - Evening:
We then went for dinner, which was awesome! After that, we went back to the hotel and had 1 hour for a quick shower. We had reflection section. So we were reflecting on how we feel about Cambodia history and some other things we had learnt.
And that's day one!
11 MARCH 2010 - Morning:
HOTEL AIRCON SIBEI COLD! SHOWER NO HEATER! COLD + COLD = SIBEI COLD! AND THATS MORNING!! After a quick shower, Manfred and I went to the restaurant (or reflection room) for a quick breakfast, and we went back to our room to watch.. CARTOON NETWORK!!
We had a walk around the dumpsite and then we went to the T-house there. We did a BAD job for the morning at the dumpsite T-house when we were organizing things for the children there. We were just waiting for instructions from the teachers and coach, and most of us sort of screwed up. Got a scolding by the coach, and she told us to do better for the afternoon.
11 MARCH 2010 - Afternoon:
Had an awesome lunch! Went back to the dumpsite and the children are there again! However, we did a much better job for the afternoon. Probably because we know what to do after what happened in the morning. It's quite tough to teach them english, not because they learn slowly, but because my english sucks.
11 MARCH 2010 - Evening:
Went for dinner, took the bus, and went back to the 'reflection room'. Did a quick reflection on what we did well and badly for the morning activites and what we did well and bad for the afternoon ones. Went back to the hotel room after that, had a quick shower and watched TV! =D
12 MARCH 2010 - Morning:
Went to a place and ate Roti-Prata for breakfast! The pratas there are damn awesome, and you will cry if you didn't eat them!! After breakfast, we went to did the same thing we did yesterday (but better), so I won't explain the craps.
12 MARCH 2010 - Afternoon:
After lunch, we went back to the dumpsite T-house for the last time. This time round, we did cleaning for them! Some people did washing hair and cleaning hands. However, I am cutting their nails instead. We were told to expect black and long nails, but some were clean and short that they can be skipped! Although, there were some that was very very dirty! We then gave them toys and clothes that the students of ADSS donated.
12 MARCH 2010 - Evening:
Went for dinner, shower, reflection, TV! Won't go into details.
13 MARCH 2010 - Morning:
Breakfast with Roti-Prata again. This time, I am so hungry that I ate quite a lot. I took one at first. Then Brenda gave me hers because she complained that there's some 'hair' there. After finishing, I went to take another prata. Then a few other people gave me theirs. It was so so awesome! We then went to Lakesite T-house, to play with the kids there who just lost their homes recently due to a fire that burnt their house.
13 MARCH 2010 - Afternoon:
After lunch, we went to the Takmau village. The bus took us to part the village and we took a small walk to the school in the village. If you don't open your eyes wide enough, you might struck 4D tonight, if you know what I meant. Had a Q&A with the students there, so we were like asking questions to them, and they are asking questions to us. If I remembered clearly, there was a traffic jam (not sure if I'm correct) because he were late for dinner.
13 MARCH 2010 - Evening:
Had a late late dinner. Went to the supermarket with the coach to buy our small breakfast for the next morning, and went back to the hotel. We didn't shower but went straight to the 'reflection' room. Had our LAST reflection, about what we learnt in the trip. It's sad that it's coming to and end! T_T
14 MARCH 2010 - Morning:
OMG! We are leaving..... T_T
Woke up in the morning, shower the cold shower, went down to the lobby. The coach gave some instructions for us about the procedures when we are at the Airport.
At the Airport, we checked-in our lugguage and stuffs, and took flight to Singapore. Roller-Coaster Round 2.
14 MARCH 2010 - Afternoon:
Reached Singapore, and took the bus back to school. During the bus trip, there was a huge storm. It's amazing because there was a rain before we went to Cambodia and a rain when we came back. Shun Hong's father gave me a ride back home this time, thanks!!
Went back home, had a quick shower, went to Macdonalds with Shun Hong for lunch, and another rain came..
Don't think there's anything else to add..
This is another long long post after the Sec 3 camp. =P
